Frequently Asked Questions

Honoring our local veterans of the Global War on Terrorism

Freedom to Liberty: A Mission of Healing is a special mission hosted by the non-profit Missions of Honor geared towards helping our local GWOT veterans heal and find meaning from their service. The mission is a 3-night stay in New York to see the 9/11 Memorial & Museum which stands on Ground Zero, the impetus of the Global War on Terror. The veterans also visit the Statue of Liberty and the Freedom Tower.
The mission provides our veterans with the opportunity to find peace, heal and meaning from their service and it’s a meaningful way to say ‘Thank You’ to our heroes. There is no cost to the veteran to participate. MOH assumes the cost for airfare, hotel, food, and venues. Some restrictions apply.

The applications are only available during a specific period of time and qualified veterans who submit an application will be chosen by random drawing. We do not keep a waitlist since this special mission is an annual event at this time. Check our home page for more information.
